Administration As an alliance of the three doctoral-granting universities in New Mexico, NM-AGEP brings together STEM faculty and students, together with administrators from across the state in the interest of increasing minority participation in STEM disciplines in doctoral programs and the professoriate. The alliance is overseen by a Council that includes the provosts from each institution, the principal investigator and co-principal investigators, graduate deans, and program staff, along with representatives from partner institutions, such as Each of the alliance universities also has a Steering Committee made up of faculty, minority program directors, deans, department heads, recruitment officers, and students who provide direction to the NM-AGEP staff on their campus. Each campus also has its own program manager or coordinator who works closely with the co-PIs, graduate programs, and STEM department heads in recruiting student for NM-AGEP and organizing programs that help prepare NM-AGEP Fellows to become university professors. |
